Sometimes One Run Is All You Need

Hanley Ramirez drove in Skip Schumaker with a ground out to Shortstop in the top of the first inning yesterday and Starter Zach Greinke made it hold up. Greinke threw a two hit shutout, striking out 9 and walking 1, and improved his record to 8-2. The Dodgers could only muster four hits of their own against Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood (one of those by Zach Greinke and he also stole a base- a rarity for pitchers) as he pitched a complete game as well. The Dodgers will go into the All Star break with a .500 record at worst and considering they were 30-42 on June 22nd, that is a remarkable recovery considering the fact that Matt Kemp has only played a little over half a season, and not at full strength at that.
