Better Late Than Never

Clayton Kershaw (8-5) hung around long enough to get the win as Catcher A.J. Ellis hit a bases clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Dodgers a 4-1 win over the San Francisco Giants and to take two out of three. Kershaw pitched 8 innings, 1 earned run, and struck out 3. Kenley Jansen held down the ninth for his 9th save. Yasiel Puig had quite the game as he was the rave of ESPN's Baseball Tonight. He went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a stolen base and a stellar defensive play in right field. He is also up for the final vote (is this starting to sound like survivor?) to get on the National League All-Star team as is First Baseman Adrian Gonzalez. Clayton Kershaw is the lone Dodger representative.
