Vin Scully
I got to actually watch my first Dodger game of the year last night on the free preview o0f the MLB package on Directv with Vin Scully doing the announcing. He is by far the smoothest broadcaster in the history of the game. He may not be the most colorful and he doesn't have a signature homerun call like the majority of the other announcer do, but he is a professional in the finest sense of the word. He is the Dodgers announcer but he is not blatantly biased, screaming outrage at every missed or bad call, and that is part of what makes him such a great announcer. He may have been the most important free agent the Dodgers kept this off season.
